Onduparaka FC are reportedly on the verge of securing the services of West Nile and former Midigo Calvary FC playmaker Andama Junior, in a move that could see one of the region's most familiar attacking talents make an emotional return to the Caterpillars.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that positive discussions have taken place between the parties, with a potential agreement expected to pave the way for Junior to reunite with his former Midigo Calvary FC coach, Geoffrey Akena, who took charge of Onduparaka earlier this month.
For Onduparaka supporters, the possible return of Andama would bring back memories of a player who has already worn the Caterpillars' colours and delivered memorable moments during his previous spell with the Arua-based club.
The 29-year-old's football journey has taken him across Uganda and beyond. He made nine appearances for Arua Hill SC, scoring once—a memorable goal against Wakiso Giants in a 1-1 draw on December 20, 2022. He later joined Onduparaka in 2023, where he featured prominently for the Caterpillars and scored 10 goals during his spell with the club.

After leaving Onduparaka, Andama continued his journey with Kator FC in Juba before returning to Ugandan football for a stint with Midigo Calvary FC during the second half of the 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
Known for his creativity, set-piece expertise and exceptional record from the penalty spot, Junior has built a reputation as a player who remains composed when the pressure is at its highest. His ability to unlock defences and deliver in decisive moments could make him a valuable addition to Akena's rebuilding project.

Should the deal be completed, Andama's arrival would add another dimension and much-needed depth to Onduparaka's squad as the Caterpillars continue preparations for the 2026/27 FUFA Big League season.
With Akena steadily shaping his team, Onduparaka's ambition remains clear: build a competitive side capable of fighting its way back to the Uganda Premier League.
And if the familiar playmaker returns to Arua, the Caterpillars may just be welcoming back a man ready to write another chapter in green.
