Lugazi FC forward Freedom Mungudit has confirmed his departure from the club; bringing the curtain down on a near three-year spell with the Uganda Premier League side.
Through an emotional farewell post via his social media accounts, the forward bid goodbye to the club's management, teammates and loyal fanbase on Monday, June 29th.
"Thank you Lugazi FC for the good memories. The team will always be on my heart. I wish the club the very best in future," the statement partly read, as Mungudit thanked everyone who stood by him during his time at the club.
While his next destination is yet to be officially disclosed, the exit leaves a notable gap to fill at the Najjembe based club.
Mungudit arrived at the club from grassroots football, having previously been part of the Kooki Ssaza in the Buganda Masaza tournament.
Unveiled as part of the busy September 2023 recruitment drive ahead of the FUFA Big League campaign, he has eversince featured for The Leaders including that season's successful promotions into their maiden StarTimes Uganda Premier League and subsequent two seasons.
