Blacks Power FC have officially unveiled Bashir Asiku as their latest signing, with the experienced defender joining the club on a two-year contract.
The move marks a fresh chapter for Asiku, who arrives at Blacks Power with considerable experience from some of Uganda’s established clubs, including Vipers SC, Wakiso Giants, Gaddafi FC and Lugazi FC.

A multiple league and cup winner, Asiku brings a wealth of experience to the Blacks Power defensive unit. His familiarity with competitive football and winning environments is expected to provide additional leadership and stability as the club prepares for the new season.
The defender was part of the Midigo Calvary FC squad during the 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign, making eight appearances.
One of his notable moments came on his debut against former club Lugazi FC. It was, however, a difficult outing for Midigo Calvary, who lost the encounter 3–1, with Asiku substituted in the 53rd minute.
Despite the challenging spell, the defender now has an opportunity to reset and begin afresh at Blacks Power.
His arrival gives the club another experienced option at the back and could prove important in strengthening their defensive organisation. Beyond his ability on the pitch, Asiku’s experience of playing for clubs with high expectations should also add valuable leadership to the dressing room.
