Born and bred in sports loving town of Paidha in Zombo District, north western uganda, Tekakwo started his career at the famous Paidha Black Angels academy, well known for nurturing talents, with high profile names like Lewin, Ogusi Abraham, Oromchan Villa and Jarieko James on the list of the high profile graduates of the academy.

Tekakwo completed his primary education at Oturgang Boys primary school and joined Welden high school, Mbarara for his secondary education on a sports scholarship.

While playing USSA games for welden, he attracted interest from Mbarara City Fc who rushed to secure his signature and he got enrolled in the junior team, as well as making his debut for the senior team.

After completing his Studies, Tekakwo opted to go back home where he signed for Paidha United Fc, by then in 4th Division, where he helped the club win the title and as well the mini zonal league title which meant qualifying for West Nile regional league, an achievement for the then newly founded club.

He spent two seasons playing for the comrades, playing an instrumental part in their progress which includes scoring the lone goal against arch rivals Paidha Black Angels in a hotly contested west nile regional league game at a fully packed and electric Bar’Okoro stadium, home of Paidha Black Angels, his boyhood club that he grew up from. The goal that sparked controversy and the match turned “rowdy” as the crowds went into chaos, sending the game to be aborted in 88 minutes.

His stellar performance in the second season with Paidha United earned him a call up from Bulemezi Ssaza, to participate in the prestigious Masaza Cup, organized by the Buganda Kingdom.

He went on to feature for Bulemeezi and helped them clinch the title after defeating Gomba sazza 1:0 at a fully packed Wankulukuku Stadium on 28 October 2023.

He later joined Ntugasaze Fc at the start of 2024 - 2025 season, where he is currently playing and he is regarded as one of the top future prospects of the club.

The 22 year old has attracted interest from top UPL clubs this season, with his club Ntugasaze Fc still reluctant to released him.

He holds a valid dream of Playing proffessional football for a top European club one day.
