Parombo United were crowned champions of the West Nile Provincial League following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ottoman FC of Yumbe in the championship playoff at Leju Stadium in Terego District.
The Nebbi District side's triumph caps off an impressive campaign that saw them finish top of the Nyagak Zone standings. Their route to the title was boosted by a successful petition against St. Denis Afere, who were found to have fielded an ineligible player during their fixture at Luo Grounds in May.
Having secured top spot in Nyagak Zone, Parombo United faced Nile Zone champions Ottoman FC in the provincial final and delivered a disciplined performance to secure victory and promotion to Uganda's third-tier football competition.

Elsewhere, Hot Springs FC of Nebbi District secured the remaining Regional League slot after defeating Moyo Town Council FC 3-2 in an entertaining playoff encounter played at Leju Stadium in Terego District.
