National football referee Atiku Rahman was the main facilitator, taking the team through the latest Laws of the Game published by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), which came into effect on July 1, 2026.
The course focused on key areas including match officials' decisions, player conduct, disciplinary matters and the responsibilities of players and technical staff during matches.
For Onduparaka, the exercise was more than just a classroom session. It was an opportunity to ensure that everyone heading into the new campaign understands the rules and the spirit in which the game is expected to be played.
“The session will ensure players and staff are well informed and ready to compete within the rules and spirit of the game,” the club said in a statement.
The Caterpillars are entering the new season with renewed ambitions and several new faces, with promotion to the top flight remaining the club's main objective under the familiar Ondu2UPL campaign.
