Determined to return stronger and more competitive, Onduparaka FC has officially unveiled a pre-season fundraising dinner campaign aimed at raising UGX 30 million to finance the club's preparations for the 2026/27 Big League season.
The fundraising dinner comes at a crucial time as the Caterpillars continue with player recruitment, contract negotiations, and the commencement of pre-season training. Club management says mobilizing resources early will ensure that all preparations are executed professionally and on schedule, creating the right environment for the technical team and players to compete effectively next season.
The event, which will take place on 18th July,2026 at Harriton Hotel, is expected to attract supporters, business partners, football stakeholders, and well-wishers from across the region. Guests will contribute UGX 50,000 per person, with the proceeds directly supporting the club's pre-season budget, including player welfare and other operational expenses.
The dinner will be officiated by Hon. Fiona Onzima, who will serve as the chief guest. Members of Parliament from the West Nile region have also been invited to join supporters in backing the club's preparations.
According to Owen Ezaga, the club's Head of Marketing and Communications, the initiative is not a response to an emergency but a strategic effort to ensure Onduparaka FC begins the new season on a strong financial footing.

"Proper preparation is the foundation of every successful campaign. We want to give our technical team and players the support they need before the season begins, and this fundraising dinner is part of that commitment," Ezaga said.
Earlier this year, Onduparaka FC successfully organized a fundraising concert that generated vital support for the club. The club, however, continues to operate without a major sponsor, making resource mobilization initiatives such as the fundraising dinner essential to supporting player welfare and meeting other operational expenses ahead of the new season.
Anguandia Welborne, the Onduparaka FC Fans President, believes the fundraising dinner campaign will help strengthen the club's financial position while reinforcing the spirit of unity that has long defined the Onduparaka faithful.
With ambitions of mounting a serious promotion challenge in the upcoming season, Onduparaka FC is calling upon its supporters, corporate partners, and the wider football community to attend the fundraising dinner and play a part in rebuilding one of West Nile's most celebrated football institutions.
