Ugandan/West Nile left-back Mustafa Kizza has officially been crowned the winner of the Goal of the Season Award for the 2025/2026 campaign after his sensational strike against Shabana FC captured the hearts of football fans across East Africa.
Kizza received a cash reward of 4.5 million from the club’s team leader Osman Khalif in recognition of the unforgettable moment that lit up the season.

The goal came during Nairobi United’s emphatic victory over Shabana, with Kizza producing a moment of pure brilliance from almost inside his own half. Spotting the goalkeeper off his line, the Ugandan international unleashed a stunning long-range effort that sailed perfectly into the net, leaving fans, players and commentators in disbelief.
The strike instantly went viral across social media, with many fans describing it as one of the greatest goals ever scored in the league. His confidence, vision and technique turned an ordinary attacking moment into football magic.
That goal was not the only masterpiece from Kizza this season. The former KCCA and CF Montréal defender also scored an incredible Olympico goal — curling the ball directly from a corner kick into the net without any touch from another player. The rare goal once again showcased his exceptional left foot and reminded fans why he remains one of the most gifted attacking full-backs Uganda has produced.
