Lugazi FC forward Freedom Mungudit has reflected on a memorable campaign after officially bringing the 2025/26 season to a close with impressive individual numbers and key performances for the club.
The attacker ended the season with five League goals, three assists, and one Stanbic Uganda Cup goal, highlighting his importance in Lugazi FC’s attacking setup throughout the campaign. Mungudit also collected three Man of the Match awards, underlining his consistent impact in crucial matches.
In one of the club’s recent Stanbic Uganda Cup fixtures against kisugu United FC, Mungudit once again played a decisive role, scoring in Lugazi FC’s 2–1 victory that secured qualification to the Round of 32. The match, however, also brought drama as the forward was later sent off, forcing Lugazi FC to finish the game with ten men.
Despite the mixed emotions, the season has been one of growth and development for the young forward, who expressed gratitude while admitting there is still more to improve moving forward.
“Season done. Much more to learn,” Mungudit shared after the campaign came to an end.
With Lugazi FC continuing to establish themselves competitively, Mungudit’s contributions throughout the season remain a positive sign for both the player and the club heading into the next campaign.
