Mukura took control of the match in the first half when Joseph Sackey broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute, sending his side into the interval with a 1–0 lead , Gasogi United looked for a response after the restart, but Mukura remained in control and eventually extended their advantage. Mutsinzi Patrick found the net in the 61st minute to make it 2–0.
The result saw Mukura secure all three points while keeping a clean sheet, with Mungudit getting his first taste of competitive league action with the club.

For the Ugandan, the appearance represented another step in a career that has seen him move beyond the Uganda Premier League. Mungudit previously featured for Lugazi FC before making the switch to Mukura Victory, giving him a new environment in which to continue developing his game.
His 55-minute outing against Gasogi United provided an early opportunity to adapt to his new teammates, tactical demands and the pace of Rwandan league football.
While the winger did not get on the scoresheet, his involvement marked the beginning of another chapter in his football journey. With a full league campaign ahead, Mungudit will be looking to build on his early appearances and establish himself as an important option in the Mukura attack.
As September is revisited, Mungudit's move to Rwanda stands out as another milestone in his football journey , from the Uganda Premier League to a new challenge with Mukura Victory Sports.
