The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) has released its provisional squad called up for the upcoming friendly game against Eritrea on February 20th. The 26-man squad is dominated by local-based players, showing the growing trust in their newly founded South Sudan Premier League.
Inaugural defending champions Jamus SC has the highest number of players, with eight players from their roster this season being called up including West Nile Province duo Mawa Atendele Geriga and Okocha Rashid, who feature in the right-back and left-back positions respectively.
Dhata Joseph Stephen Lujang, who plays for NEC FC in the Uganda Premier League and West Nile Province in the FUFA Drum, is also part of the summoned squad highlights the federation's continued scouting of talent within the regional leagues.

However, Midfielder Gadafi Wahab and defender Toha Rashid have been omitted from the list Head Coach Nicholas Dupius has selected for the upcoming away encounter in the Horn of Africa.
