Newly promoted StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have strengthened their squad with the signing of experienced goalkeeper Norman Angufindru on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old joins the Gorillas after parting ways with SC Villa following the expiry of his contract, bringing a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Angufindru was part of the SC Villa squad that won the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title and established himself as one of the league's most dependable goalkeepers. His impressive performances during the first round of that campaign also earned him a place in the Uganda Premier League Team of the Season.
Speaking after completing his move, the veteran goalkeeper expressed his delight at beginning a new chapter with the league newcomers.
"I am excited to join the Gorillas family and I'm looking forward to working together with everyone at the club. My goal is to help the team achieve success and give my all. I thank the club management for this opportunity," said Angufindru.
The move marks another significant milestone in Angufindru's inspiring football journey. From a period when he was close to walking away from the game, he fought his way back to become a Uganda Premier League champion and now embarks on a fresh challenge with Kigezi HomeBoyz.

Before joining SC Villa for the 2023/24 season, Angufindru featured for Onduparaka FC and Calvary FC, where he built a reputation as a reliable and commanding presence between the posts.
Kigezi HomeBoyz will be hoping the experienced shot-stopper's leadership and quality will play a key role as the club prepares for its maiden StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign.
