The curtains officially came down on the 7th edition of the West Nile Regional Health Training Institute Games and Sports Championship, hosted by Moyo School of Nursing and Midwifery under the theme “Strengthening Health Through Games and Sports.”
The tournament climaxed with a thrilling boys’ football final that saw Kajo-Keji Health Institute overpower a resilient Maracha School of Nursing and Midwifery side 3-0 to lift the championship trophy in style.
Goals from Eric and Siko inspired Kajo-Keji Health Institute to victory as the side displayed determination, attacking brilliance, and composure throughout the encounter. Despite the defeat, Maracha School of Nursing and Midwifery put up a spirited fight and remained competitive for large parts of the game before Kajo-Keji’s quality eventually proved decisive.

Kajo-Keji Health Institute did not stop at football glory alone. The institution also emerged champions in both boys’ and girls’ volleyball, underlining their dominance and making them the most successful side of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Maracha School of Nursing and Midwifery found consolation in the ladies’ football category after emerging champions ahead of hosts Moyo School of Nursing and Midwifery, who finished as runners-up following an impressive campaign.

The championship brought together different health training institutions from across the West Nile region, promoting talent, teamwork, discipline, and unity among students through sports.
With successful organization by Moyo School of Nursing and Midwifery and remarkable performances from participating institutions, the 7th edition of the games lived up to its theme of strengthening health through games and sports while delivering memorable moments for players and fans alike.
