Goalkeeper Huda Ayikoru has been named among the shot-stoppers summoned to the Uganda U-17 Women’s National Team (Teen Cranes) camp ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
She is part of the goalkeeping unit selected by head coach Sheryl Botes as Uganda prepares for the upcoming qualifier clashes, including a two-legged tie against Zimbabwe set to be played between 11th and 18th April 2026.
Ayikoru, who currently features for Kawempe Muslim SS and URA Ladies FC is to join a competitive group of goalkeepers as the Teen Cranes intensify preparations for a strong qualification campaign.
Huda Ayikoru is recognized for her role with Kawempe Muslim SS and youth national representative teams. She has participated in tournaments such as the CAF African Schools Football Championship (2024) where she is remembered for her shot-stopping abilities and also was named Best Goalkeeper in the 2022 Watoto Wasoka women's derby.
