West Nile Province right back Geriga Atendele has completed a permanent move away from StarTimes Uganda Premier League side NEC FC. Atendele, 30, has been announced today by Jamus SC via the official club Facebook page.

"The management of the club is delighted to announce the official signing of international right back Atendele Mawa." the post partially read.
"The player joins the team on a two-season contract, arriving from (StarTimes) Uganda Premier League," the club further added.

Geriga, who features for West Nile Province in the FUFA Drum and South Sudanese senior national team joins former teammate, left back Rashid Okocha who also was signed from NEC FC by Jamus FC.

"This signing is a strategic move to bolster our defence options with (his) international experience and clinical pace, Mawa (Atendele) is widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents," Jamus SC praised their new squad member in Atendele.
"Known for his technical flair and his ability to create decisive moments on the flanks," the club continued.

Atendele who previously featured for Onduparaka, Wakiso Giants and Arua Hills SC is not an exception from the exodus at NEC FC, with also West Nile Province teammate Mustafa Kizza announced for Nairobi United last week. Eng. Waibi Charles and Titus Ssematimba are others who have also left, both joined Nairobi United FC.
