The pressure is building, the questions are growing, and Onduparaka FC desperately need a response.
After a frustrating start to the 2026/27 FUFA Big League season, Geoffrey Akena takes his troubled Caterpillars to Luo Grounds on Sunday, October 18, for a West Nile showdown against league debutants Pakwach Young Stars SC. For Onduparaka, this is more than another fixture. It is a chance to stop the bleeding and breathe life back into their ONDU2UPL promotion ambitions.
The Caterpillars are still searching for their first victory after two matches, and their latest setback could hardly have come at a worse time.

Their home crowd at Greenlight Stadium watched in pain as close-town rivals Paidha Black Angels SC claimed a 2-1 victory, with Eric Muber striking twice to deliver a bitter derby defeat.
Now, the Caterpillars must find answers away from home. Another slip would only deepen the early-season pressure on Akena, whose side can no longer afford to let valuable points escape.
But Luo Grounds offers no easy escape. The Caterpillars have a roar to rediscover, and the Believers are waiting.
Pakwach Young Stars may have suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Kiyinda Boys FC at Bertham Recreational Grounds, but they will return to familiar territory determined to respond.
Onama Bosco's men have already shown what they can do on home soil, sweeping aside Kaaro Karungi FC 3-0 at Luo Grounds. That performance will give the hosts confidence as they prepare to welcome one of West Nile's most recognisable football names.

Since beginning to host their matches in Nebbi, the Believers have yet to taste defeat at Luo Grounds. They will be eager to protect that record and make the Caterpillars' search for a breakthrough even more painful.
Onduparaka's task is complicated by the absence of captain Ronald Owiny, while Atayo Philliam faces a late fitness test.
There is, however, some encouragement for Akena. Felix Abishai Angumemboki and Alfred Leku have returned to training and are available for selection, offering the coach additional options as he searches for a winning formula. Goalkeeper Aaron Icumar could also make his second start.
For Onduparaka, the challenge is clear: rediscover their defensive discipline, find their cutting edge and turn their desperation into a performance worthy of their ambitions.
Meanwhile, the Believers have received a timely boost of their own. Playmaker Adnan Jailal returns after missing the away trip to Wakiso, while striker Emmanuel Ndebua Edema is fully fit, Onama confirmed.

Their availability could prove crucial as Pakwach seek to exploit home advantage against a visiting side desperate to recover from derby disappointment.
For the Believers, Sunday's contest is an opportunity to reaffirm their strength at Luo Grounds and bounce back immediately from their defeat to Kiyinda Boys.
For Onduparaka, the mission is more urgent. Their promotion dream remains alive, but ambitions must be backed by results. The Caterpillars need a response that goes beyond words — a performance that restores belief and reminds their supporters what this team is capable of.
The fixture also sets the stage for another demanding week. Pakwach Young Stars travel to Paidha to face Paidha Black Angels SC, while Onduparaka return to Greenlight Stadium to host Rwenzori Lions FC.

But first, all roads lead to Luo Grounds. One side wants to protect its home pride. The other is desperate to silence the growing doubts.
Will the Caterpillars finally roar back to life, or will the Believers turn their misery into another painful chapter? On Sunday, the answers will come on the pitch.
