Uganda U-17 Women's National Team captain Vicky Atyeronimungu was part of the Teen Cranes squad that successfully defended the CECAFA U-17 Women's Championship title in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The tournament saw Uganda reaffirm its dominance in the region, beginning with convincing group-stage victories .
Atyeronimungu featured among the players who contributed to Uganda's unbeaten campaign, with the team displaying defensive solidity, attacking quality and consistency throughout the competition.

The successful title defence marked another milestone for the Teen Cranes and provided valuable experience for players like Vicky as Uganda continues to build towards future continental and global competition.
The Teen Cranes enjoyed a dominant campaign, registering group-stage victories over South Sudan (4-0), Djibouti (13-0) and Zanzibar (3-0) to progress to the knockout rounds. Vicky also found the back of the net in the emphatic win over Djibouti.
Uganda then defeated Kenya 3-0 in the semi-finals before overcoming hosts Tanzania by the same scoreline in the final to retain the regional crown.
As captain, Vicky provided leadership and ability throughout the tournament, helping Uganda maintain its unbeaten run while showcasing the growing strength of the country's women's youth football program.
The title defence in Dar es Salaam added another achievement to Uganda's impressive record at youth level and provided a strong foundation ahead of future continental assignments.
