END OF AN ERA : Captain Fantastic Cosmas Lembecoo bids Farewell to Parombo Mission Stars after over a Decade of Service.

West Nile Regional League side Parombo Mission Stars captain and Coach Player yesterday threw in his towel after over 15 years of service and passion at the club.

Cosmas Papas #5 as commonly known was the “wall of jericho” of the Parombo based side, having started the journey from grass roots with the club and rising together with the club till where it has reached now.

He quickly gained respect from fans and fellow players after having led the team both as a player and coach player during their 5th division campaign and under his tenure, promoted the team to 4th division where he continued to participate as a player and leading the team to regional league after a tense mini zonal league.

In an Emotional farewell letter, Cosmas cited Injuries as the major factor leading to his hanging of boots but also cited that its finally the time to pull down the curtain after a long good time and series of achievements.

“With heavy heart and eyes full of tears, I am stepping away from the Pitch after 16 years at this mighty club” stated Cosmas.

Parombo Mission Stars ended the season 5th on the log and will be looking forward to the upcoming West Nile Regional League season 2026 - 2027.
