Paidha Black Angels SC may not be able to re-sign talisman Rwothomio 'Abang' Cromwell this transfer window, as earlier reported. The deal seems to have hit a futile ground at one of the ends.
Having missed to secure striker Ocoman's signature earlier, with the forward reportedly hijacked to Lira City, the Zombo based side could as well be facing hurdles in their pursuit for Abang's return to Bar Okoro. Close sources next to deal hint Abang is tied with a running contract at NEC FC, and the club seems reluctant of letting him leave soon.
Cromwell, who joined NEC FC on an initially one year deal from Vipers SC before extending his stay for three more years in June 2024 is said to have gone AWOL from his current paymasters' base in Kampala only to resurface under the radars of The Blacks who at this point needed to re-acquire his services. With this particular transfer window open until March 2nd, Paidha Black Angels could still work around on recruiting back their former captain to bolster their squad, and adding up the attacking options upfront.
Paidha Black Angels SC sits 8th on the sixteen-team FUFA Big League log with 23 points, only six points shy of table leaders Blacks Power FC.
We shall keep you updated with any other development around this deal.
