Born and raised from the Yumbe and Koboko area of West Nile, Innocent has emerged as one of the standout stars of the 2026 Blind Football Championship which was held at Makerere University Rugby Grounds on the 5th September 2026 , he finished the tournament as the top scorer and helping MUBS claim the men’s title.
A Year 3 Office and Information student at MUBS, Innocent is in his final year at the university. But while he is preparing to complete his studies, he has been busy making his name on the football pitch.

The championship brought together eight men’s teams including MUBS, Gulu Cyclones, Red Angels, Strong Spirits, Ancilla Mukono, KYUVISA Stars, USIU-Africa Kenya and Makerere University with Innocent proving to be a constant threat in front of goal.
He found the net 8 times scoring against Gulu Cyclones, Red Angels, Ancilla Mukono and Strong Spirits where he played a crucial role in MUBS first championship-winning campaign .
For Innocent, the goals are not an accident, his preparation begins right in his room. Every day, he works on his basic training, jogging with the ball and practicing his dribbling from one point to another. It is a simple routine, but one built around consistency and determination.
His journey is also inspired by blind football players and coaches who continue to show what is possible on the pitch.

And when it comes to his football idol, Innocent looks no further than Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar's dedication, discipline and relentless desire to improve have become an inspiration for the young MUBS player.
The 2026 championship provided Innocent with the perfect stage to showcase his ability.
While MUBS celebrated a historic double championship triumph by winning both the men’s and women’s titles , Innocent had his own individual achievement to celebrate finishing as the tournament's leading scorer.
