Police FC continued their positive response in the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Kataka FC on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Bukedea Comprehensive School.
The Cops carried confidence into the Matchday 9 encounter after collecting four points from their previous two matches, drawing 0-0 with defending champions Vipers SC at St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, before registering a 3-1 victory over Kigezi HomeBoyz at Kira Road Police Arena.

Ali Arshavin Bayo opened the scoring in the 18th minute, registering his first goal against Kataka FC after capitalising on a short free-kick from Rogers Kiwanuka. The midfielder, who has previously featured for SC Villa, NEC FC and Lugazi FC, joined Police FC from SC Villa last season. He spotted goalkeeper Ronald Nsubuga off his line before producing a long-range effort to put Police ahead.
Kataka restored parity shortly after the restart through Ali Ssentamu, who converted the rebound after Mathias Muwanga had saved his penalty.
Despite being reduced to ten men in the 63rd minute following Saidi Kyeyune's dismissal, Police continued pushing for a winner.
Their persistence paid off in the 86th minute when substitute Bedia Djuma Ikamba found the back of the net from close range following Charles Bbaale's delivery to restore Police's advantage.
The victory marked Police FC's fourth win of the campaign, taking their tally to 14 points from nine matches and moving them to fifth position on the league table.
Having picked up seven points from their last three league outings, the Cops will now turn their attention to their next assignment against Kitara FC on November 3rd at Kira Road Police Arena.
