It's not a good news coming from Juba this evening as talented West Nile Province winger Bida Eli Ezra has suffered an injury that could keep him sidelined for the remainder of the South Sudan Premier League season during his team's 6-1 triumph over Al-Ghazala Wau.

"The management of the Club, in coordination with the Medical Department, issues this official update regarding the health status of our player, Eli Bida, following the injury sustained during today's match against Al-Ghazala Wau." the statement regarding Bida's injury reads.

Bida Ezra, chanted from West Nile's stands as the "Rubber Boy" started for Jamus SC in their Match Week 14 game before picking up an injury that the club statement confirmed as an ankle fracture.

"Initial clinical examinations conducted immediately after the player left the pitch have confirmed that Eli Bida has suffered an ankle fracture." The statement confirmed.

The club also says that immediate medical procedures have been taken about the situation of the pacy winger.

"As a primary emergency procedure, a medical cast (plaster) has been applied to stabilize the fracture site."

However, on a sad note, that could could still mean he is sidelined for the rest of the season going by what the statement puts as a time frame for his expected recovery.

"Based on the severity of the injury, the Medical Department estimates that Eli Bida will be sidelined for a period of 5 to 6 months." it read.

Bida Eli Ezra, who switched allegiance to South Sudan even after featuring for Uganda U17 National Team signed for Jamus SC in June last year on a two years contract after the expiry of his contract at Arua based FUFA Big League side Onduparaka FC.
