From West Nile to the world stage, Abdul Aziz “Ringo” Hard is rising as one of Uganda’s promising boxing talents. Selected from over 800 boxers, he is part of the Uganda Bombers squad heading to the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. Ringo, alongside teammates Kemis Ibrahim, Ojok Alfred, and Batte Nuhu, forms part of the men’s team, while Nakalema Emily and Katushabe Angel represent the women’s side. Inspired by champions like Mike Tyson, Ringo’s journey is driven by discipline, self-belief, and lessons learned from past fights, including a medal-winning performance at the 2025 Africa Zone 3 Championships in Nairobi. With strong roots in West Nile, he now carries the hopes of his region and nation as he aims to shine on the global stage and raise the Ugandan flag high in Glasgow.
