Calvary FC’s search for a maiden victory in their debut StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season has been stretched further following thier narrow defeat in Kamwenge this evening.

Clinton Davico Kamugisha's solo effort provided the breakthrough Mbarara City needed at Rwamwanja Stadium to secure all three points for the hosts. This loss adds to a mounting period of frustration for Calvary, who recently exited the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Round of 64 following a shock defeat to non-league side Football Classroom in Kampala.
With just 4 draws and no wins from 16 matches, Calvary FC’s "dream season" has turned into a survival battle.

While the club strengthened its squad during the mid-season window, including re-signing of playmaker Andama Junior who debuted today, the result on the pitch is yet to reflect the reinforcements.
