For a club that plays and piles a measurable amount of pressure on their opponents defence, Calvary FC shouldn't have been at the bottom. With great ball build ups from their defense and above average ball retention for a "bottom of the league log" status club, Calvary FC's source of blunt seem to stem from their inability to make it past their opponents goal line.
Against Police FC today, Calvary FC managed to get a better display in the opening 20 minutes before The Cops settling in their own yard that has been intimidating to most visiting teams in the league.
Police had have scored 12 goals in 6 of their home games this season, with 10th placed Buhimba United Saints conceding the most, (four) goals on Matchday 9 and most recently 13-time league champions KCCA FC losing by 2 goals to zero on Matchday 12.
That shows how threatening Kiira Road Police Arena can be to a club yet to pick up a win—something that Calvary FC displayed an opposite way to.
Calvary FC, with only two substitutes on bench played all hearts out, holding the hosts to a goalless draw at halftime before failing to contain on form and face-plastered Brian James Obedi's 86th-minute sleek header off former Arua Hills SC left-back Richard Matovu's free kick.

A goal down, Calvary FC put up a tighter fight, with a more threatening reaction that resulted to one of their wingers beating the Police FC goalie to hit the post and the rebound effort from their striker going wide as well. That shows how much the forward line is ineffective.
The Horizon Stars would three minutes later concede again the second goal; which means the beautiful display and hopes for a point or maximum points for over 80 minutes goes to waste in just three minutes—that's the brutal part of football!
With so far 13 games played and no win registered yet, Calvary FC could still have a chance to get redemption, and play at the top tier league if they trade well in this mid season transfer window. Fingers crossed.
