FUFA Big League: PBA Climbs to fourth with a vital win over Kataka

Paidha Black Angels secured three vital points as they defeated Kataka 2-1 today at Bar Okoro stadium. Opar Jacob opened the scoring in the first minute of the game before Yoacel Raymond doubled the lead minutes later to make it 2-0.

Kataka later pulled one back to make it 2-1 right before half-time. The second half was very intense with Kataka scoring an equalizer, but the goal was later cancelled for offside.

Opar Jacob had a decent moment in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper but he couldn't utilize the chance in the last minutes of the game.

"PBA's win is a testament to our strong teamwork and strategy," said PBA coach, Matsiko.

"We're happy with the three points and we look forward to our next match."

Kataka's coach expressed disappointment with the offside decision, "It was a clear goal, but we have to move on.

The full time ended 2-1 with PBA climbing up to 4th on the table, meanwhile Kataka dropped from 4th to 6th. PBA next faces Blacks Power, the table leaders, away on Sunday, 1st Mar, 2026, at Ebenezer ground in Lira.
