Pakwach Young Stars SC got their home campaign off to a perfect start on match day two, beating Kaaro Karungi FC 3–0 at Luo Grounds.
The Believers came into the game looking to respond after losing 1–0 away to Iganga United in their opening FUFA Big League fixture, and they did exactly that in front of their home supporters.
The first half ended without a goal, with both sides struggling to find the breakthrough. But the game changed after the interval as Pakwach Young Stars stepped up the pressure.
Emmanuel Edema Ndebua finally broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, giving the home side the lead and lifting the mood around Luo Grounds.

Pakwach did not sit back after taking the lead. They continued to push forward and were rewarded when Akena Bob Charles added the second goal to put the Believers firmly in control.
Kaaro Karungi tried to find a way back into the game, but Pakwach remained composed and continued to threaten on the counter.
With the game entering its final minutes, substitute Jalal Adnan put the result beyond doubt with a powerful strike that gave the Kaaro Karungi goalkeeper little chance.

Three goals in the second half were enough to give Onama Bosco's side their first victory of the campaign and, importantly, a clean sheet.
For a team playing its first season in the FUFA Big League, the response was encouraging. After the disappointment of Iganga, the Believers showed better attacking intent and took their chances when they came.
Pakwach Young Stars now sit fourth with three points from two matches, giving them a positive platform to build on as the season gathers pace.
Their next assignment comes on 11 October 2026, when the Believers travel to Bertham Recreational Grounds to face Kiyinda Boys FC.
It will be another opportunity for Onama Bosco's side to show that the win over Kaaro Karungi was not a one-off, but the beginning of a promising Big League campaign.
