Lawrence Olaboro has wasted no time making his mark at BUL FC, scoring and providing an assist on his debut as the club came from behind to defeat Blacks Power 2-1 on Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
The match, played on 15 September 2026 at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, provided the newly signed striker with the perfect platform to introduce himself to his new supporters.
And he responded in style.
Blacks Power took an early lead in the 20th minute when Oscar Otim found the back of the net, with Mike Siu providing the assist.
BUL, however, refused to let the early setback derail their afternoon.
Olaboro Opens His BUL Account
In the 38th minute, Olaboro announced his arrival.
Derrick Byabachwezi supplied the assist before Olaboro unleashed a powerful strike that beat the goalkeeper and brought BUL level at 1-1.
It was more than just a debut goal. It was an early statement from a striker who had already developed a reputation for producing important moments during his time at Calvary FC.
But Olaboro's influence did not end with the goal.
From Goalscorer to Provider
Ten minutes into the second half, the new signing played another decisive role.
In the 55th minute, Olaboro turned provider, setting up Simon Achidi, who finished from close range to put BUL FC 2-1 ahead.
The comeback was complete.
Olaboro had directly contributed to both of BUL's goals on his first appearance for the club scoring one and assisting another.

He was substituted in the 77th minute, making way for Alex Kitata, having already left his mark on the contest.
Achidi, who scored the winning goal, was later named Man of the Match.
From Calvary's Survival Fight to a New Chapter
Olaboro's arrival at BUL comes after a significant spell with Calvary FC during the 2025/26 campaign.
At Calvary, the striker became an important figure during the club's battle for survival, particularly toward the closing stages of the season.
On Matchday 28, Olaboro scored Calvary's equaliser in a 1-1 draw against URA FC.
Two matchdays later, on the final day of the campaign, he was again decisive, scoring the only goal as Calvary FC defeated NEC FC 1-0.
Those performances provided a strong finish to his time at Calvary and set the stage for his move to BUL.
Now, in new colours, the striker has carried that momentum into the 2026/27 campaign.
Joining an Unbeaten BUL Side
Olaboro's debut also comes at a positive moment for BUL FC.
After several matches of the 2026/27 from match day one to match day four Uganda Premier League season, BUL remain unbeaten and are currently leading the table.
His arrival therefore adds another attacking option to a side that has made an impressive start to the campaign.

For Olaboro, it is an opportunity to build on the confidence he gained at Calvary while competing at a club currently setting the pace in the league.
A Dream Start
There could hardly have been a more immediate way for Olaboro to begin his BUL FC journey.
From helping Calvary FC through a demanding survival battle to scoring and assisting on his BUL debut, Olaboro has opened a fresh chapter in his career with an immediate impact.
