Police FC assistant coach Ahmad Olima took charge of the Cops from the touchline as they battled to a 1-1 draw against Kitara FC, with head coach Mathias Lule notably absent from the technical area.
Olima guided Police through a demanding encounter at their home ground Kira Road Police Arena on match day 10 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League seaso 2026/2027 , where Kitara took an early lead through Wahab Gadafi in the 10th minute.
Despite falling behind, Police remained in the contest and continued searching for an equaliser. Their efforts eventually paid off in the 75th minute when Bedia Ikamba found the back of the net to restore parity.

With Lule absent from the touchline, Olima assumed the responsibility of directing the team, making timely substitutions as Police sought to change the course of the game.
The assistant coach introduced Ssekamate and Mugume in the 55th minute, replacing Ojara and Biafulo, before bringing on Charles Bbaale for Abdulshakur Jemba in the 69th minute.
The changes helped Police maintain their push for a response, eventually finding the breakthrough through Ikamba.
However, the game was largely characterised by excessive physical challenges, which disrupted its rhythm and affected the overall quality of football.
Police and Kitara eventually settled for a share of the spoils, with Olima overseeing a point for the Cops in Lule's absence.
